| Illustrator -- Jeannie Brett Jeannie has always lived near the ocean, from Hingham, Massachusetts to various ports in New Hampshire and Maine.
She attended the School of Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and Minneapolis College of Art Design. Jeannie has worked as a designer and illustrator with local advertising agencies, educational illustrating, and various commissioned artwork. Jeannie has illustrated four children’s books: L IS FOR LOBSTER, A Maine Alphabet by Cynthia Furlong-Reynolds, FISHING FOR NUMBERS, A Maine Numbers Book, written by Cynthia Furlong-Reynolds, M IS FOR MAYFLOWER, A Massachusetts Alphabet, written by Margot Theis Raven, NEW ONE IF BY LAND, A Massachusetts Numbers Book, written by Heidi E.Y. Stemple, and P IS FOR PASSPORT, A World Alphabet, written by Devin Scillian and illustrated by a collection of illustrators, including Jeannie Brett. She enjoys visiting New England schools to share her enthusiasm for illustrating (and animals and nature and books!) with school children. Jeannie lives in York, Maine with her husband Greg and their three children, Gregory, Sophie and Lee. They have a “menagerie” of animals including two horses, two bunnies, three enormous cats (all named after pasta: Tortellini, Macaroni, and Ziti) and wonderful old Newfoundland, Holly. |
